    • Another spot you might like, depending on whether you like catfish or not, is Catfish Hole. You will find this between the Route 221 bridge and the lower railroad trestle – this area is great during the fall.
    • Mid Lake Brush Pile is located near Banks Creek. Just outside of the entrance to this you will be able to find a grouping of brush piles that you will find make a great little spot. Largemouth bass, white perch, striped bass and catfish are the order of the day here.
    • Next, Striper Ride Fishing. 10 bucks say you can’t figure out what this spot is known for… This may actually be challenging if you are a new angler. Getting the very most out of this spot means positioning your boat really well. For instance, you need to be sure your boat is facing down the lake so that Lighthouse Cove Pier is on your left. Cast on the ridge from here, you’ll do great.

If boats are not your thing, or you do not own one, then a pier is the perfect alternative. Here are the better piers where you can fish Lake Greenwood.
    • Lake Greenwood State Park Pier. This is a wooden pier sporting wooden benches and tables toward the front, and a paved road leads up to the pier.
    • Lake Greenwood State Park Bank. This popular angling spot offers Instagram worthy photo views among the trees. You can find bass here when they move into shallower water.
    • River Fork Fishing Pier. Greenwood Lake crosses through three different counties, and this pier sits in Laurens County. A public pier, this constructed from aluminium and is found adjacent to the River Fork Road Bridge. You will be able to target small perch and similar from here.

    Crappie Fishing

Greenwood Lake has a large crappie population and the large majority of them, if not all of them, are black crappie. The way that you fish for crappie on Lake Greenwood is going to be defined by the fact that you are going to be targetting one variety over another.

    Striper Fishing

Greenwood Lake fishing is excellent during any time of the year, no matter what you are targeting. Almost.
